Andreas Lehnert studied from 1989 to 1994 at the University of Music in Stuttgart with Ulf Rodenhäuser. From 1993 to 1994 he was engaged as a solo clarinetist at the Hessisches Staatstheater Darmstadt, after which he studied with Hans-Dietrich Klaus at the University of Music in Detmold until 1997, i.e. during his engagement in Leipzig. He is a member of the armonia wind ensemble and the Sinfonietta Leipzig.
