Ai Watanabe 渡辺　愛 (Composer, Acousmonium player)

Born in Japan, Ai Watanabe received her first degree from the Tokyo College of Music. She has been studying at the CRR of Paris in Denis Dufour’s electroacoustic composition class. Completed Ecriture Course with le Diplome d’Etudes Musicales.

Received PhD for research of Luc Ferrari at Tokyo University of The Arts.

Performed at several music festival such as FAF, ACANTHES, FUTURA, NIT, UNYAZI, Ensembles Asia, etc.
France Musique radio and J-Wave radio Sakamoto(presented by Ryuichi Sakamoto) have broadcast some of her works.

Won The 1st Principal Award at Tokyo College of Music (Japan), JAPAN2011 Prize (Italy), Selected at CCMC (Japan), Semi-Finalist at Pierre Schaeffer Award (France), Selected at The 3rd Presque Rien Award (France), Finalist at Petites Formes(France), ICMC2018(Korea), etc.

Lecturer at Tokyo University of The Arts, Tamagawa University and Showa University of Music.

Board Member of Japanese Society for Electronic Music.

Member of Japanese Society for Sonic Arts.
